As we have discovered last class, earth science covers a broad array of topics.

Textbook research activity:

Get in the groups you formed during our Mix-it-up activity. Look up the Earth science topic you represented and answer the following questions.

• Give 5 subtopics that will be covered in your chapter.
• In what circumstances could you imagine this topic being important to you now or in your future?
• Why is your topic more important to study than the one's your classmates picked?

Layers of the Earth

1. Atmosphere- Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere and Thermosphere

2. Biosphere- thin layer of life

3. Lithosphere- Crust and upper Mantle

4. Middle Earth- Lower mantle, outer core and inner core
